SECRET PAL 8 QUESTIONARE

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like? Right now Caron Simply Soft is my favorite simply because it and Red Heart have been the only ones I've used....and now I despise the itchiness of Red Heart

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in? I use Denise needles so they have their own book. I need something for my dpn's though.

3. How long have you been knitting? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced? About a year or 2 now. I'm in between advanced beginner and intermediate. There are some skills like cables, lace, etc...that just came easy to me but colorwork I just don't get.

5. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.) Lavendar, Mint, Cucumber, and any girly smells but nothing tooo floral.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy? Yes I do. Peanut butter M&M's or Reeces Pieces.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin? I make jewelry, crochet, I like my knifty knitters, and I can cross-stitch. I don't spin but I want to. I own 4 bags of roving just dying to become yarn but I have no spindle.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD) Any and all music. And Yes I can play mp3s

9. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand? I really like pink (light), minty greens, baby blues and chocolate brown.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? I am married with 2 boys. I have 1 cat.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos? In the winter I do. I live in Texas so that's only about 3 months out of the year.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? washclothes because they go so quickly!

13. What are you knitting right now? A bunch of things...I am working on Clapotis, my first pair of socks, a pair of slippers, and a patchwork blanket for my son

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts? VERY MUCH SO!

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? I've never knit with bamboo and I would like to try. I hate plastic needles although the Susan Bates ones are really pretty. Love my Boye alluminum ones though.

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift? I own a ball winder but not a swift

17. How did you learn to knit? Taught myself using online resources

18. How old is your oldest UFO? a year

19. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas

20. Is there anything that you collect? Rubber Ducks, yarn, books

21. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have? I don't have any knitting magazine subscriptions...I really would like the big girl knits book and basically any other book on my amazon wish list. I really would like some dpns in different sizes.

22. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn? I'd like to learn intarsia or fair isle...anything with color work. I just don't get it LOL

23. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements? I'm attempting my first pair right now. Don't know exact measurements but I'm a size 7 1/2 womens US shoe size
